Continuing its educational activities, TIAC recently hosted the highly anticipated youth forum titled “Why Populism?”.
The event drew over 70 participants, including students, young professionals, industry experts, and individuals interested in the topic.
The panel discussion featured renowned specialists in the field, including
- political analyst Edgar Vardanyan,
- psychologist and social scientist Sona Manusyan,
- editor-in-chief of Civilnet Karen Harutyunyan,
- publicist Gor Madoyan.
The speakers delved into the phenomenon of populism, discussing its negative impact on modern society and the current situation in Armenia. They explored the causes and consequences of populist movements, ways to combat them, and the psychological and sociological aspects of populism, providing a comprehensive understanding of this complex issue.
The forum served as an excellent platform for youth to voice their concerns and views on populism and engage in meaningful discussions with experts in the field.
The event is implemented within the framework of the “Anti-corruption School” program of TIAC with the support of the Swedish government.
