The Network’s hubs launched anti-corruption educational programs (2021)!

Today, the EAACN is happy to share with you the latest news on the anti-corruption courses and programs of its national hubs in 2021!

Armenian hub, represented by Թրանսփարենսի Ինթերնեշնլ Հայաստան – Transparency International Armenia and ՀՀ պետական կառավարման ակադեմիա/Public Administration Academy of RA, successfully launched this year’s program called “Anti-Corruption Academy”. The aim of the training is to provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge of corruption, its factors, types, corruption risks in the political, economic, and social spheres, its consequences, anti-corruption policy institutions, anti-corruption tools in Armenia. The course will be conducted through lectures, seminars, debates, practical problems, tests, didactic materials, videos, recorded lectures that promote the self-education of the participants, etc.

In its turn, Georgian hub, represented by Institute for Development of Freedom of Information & ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი • Ilia State University started Academic and Certificate Program: Disinformation and Propaganda Studies: History, Theories and Means of Debunking. The program will offer the students 6 modules and several short training seminars on disinformation and propaganda research, history, its public impacts, and the ways of debunking. Participants who successfully complete at least 4 courses during the academic year will receive a bilingual certificate confirming the completion of the program and will also have an opportunity to develop research projects and present them at an international academic conference scheduled for the spring semester.

Kyrgyz hub, represented by CA Research Institute on Corruption and Money Laundering & АГУП КР Академия госуправления при Президенте КР launched the academic program on Anti-corruption that consists of 6 modules, in particular: Anti-corruption research methodology; International standards and national legal and institutional frameworks for combating corruption and money laundering; Anti-money laundering. Investigation of corruption crimes. Bringing legal entities to criminal responsibility; Corruption, public policy and society; Identification of risks of fraud and corruption in the framework of audit and in public procurement; The right to access information. Data disclosure and analysis (fact-checking). The interactive courses of this program are designed for students of master’s programs, graduate students and practising analysts who plan to work in the sphere of combatting corruption.

Ukrainian hub (Міждисциплінарний науково-освітній центр протидії корупції НаУКМА & National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy) has news as well! First and second years students recently started their educational process within the Master’s program “Anti-corruption Studies”. This program is unique, as it was designed for gaining knowledge and obtaining an educational level in the fields of political science, law, economics and sociology. Therefore, it contains a variety of educational courses in different fields taught by Top theorists and practitioners in the field of combating corruption from Ukraine and all over the world.

Besides that, Ukrainian hub is starting its annual certificate program “Anti-corruption Studies” for 2021. This program is devoted to the comprehensive study of corruption as a social and legal phenomenon and methods for its prevention. The program is highly recommended for representatives of anti-corruption bodies, activists from the public sector, government officials, journalists, lawyers, academics and university students seeking expertise in this field.

Last but not least, Moldovan hub, represented by Expert-Grup & ASEM just started the second edition of the Anti-Corruption and Good Governance course. This year, representatives of state institutions and companies, employees in private companies, journalists, masters took part in the course. The studying will last for three months.
